Engineering & Operations Reliability
Strength In Service
Long known for designing, constructing, managing and operating one of the safest and most reliable generating fleets in the nation, Tenaska’s Engineering & Operations Group put that experience to work to help customers and consumers overcome the challenges of 2021 and plan for a strong future.
The expertise of our engineering and operations team has resulted in a fleet that is built for success — literally — and a group that never loses sight of the long term, even as it manages through day-to-day demands and constraints.
Recognized by the federal government as “essential critical infrastructure workers,” almost all employees at Tenaska’s power plants continued to report to the workplace for every shift, generating reliable energy for our customers while operating under Tenaska Environmental Health and Safety policies designed to maintain a safe work environment and comply with all regulations.
Despite harsh winter conditions, supply chain constraints and transmission limitations, the team puts its adaptability and resilience to work, with higher reliability than industry averages. At the same time, Engineering & Operations provided support for new renewable projects and reached final project completion for wind farms that began commercial operations in 2020.
